        I just had to try this a buddy of mine gifted me a bottle (those are the best kind of buddies) so here goes. Hazy copper/golden appearance with minimal head that quickly disappears. Smell is very malty and floral with a hint of grain and orange.Smells strongly of pine hops--an impressive overpowering aroma of hops. No malt is present in the nose.Taste is a subtle bitterness, pine, citrus, vert clean tasting, I have a love hate relationship with pacman yeast, it does great in stouts, porters, etc but with anything else it its a hit or miss it seems.A good drinking ale. I'd have it again, but Brutal....I think Not.

Review: Terrapin Hopsecutioner

Maybe you guys remember I work a side job at Trader Joe's this weekend we got in this beer and being only 45 miles from Athens I figured I'd go for it I have to be honest for the $9.99 per six pack I was a little apprehensive but a man needs to splurge sometimes. So after getting off after a 4am wine display build I grabbed these and went home for an 11 am tasting :) Here's what I found.

On the pour Clear, very slightly hazy copper colored with a small, average lasting, whitish head. Little lacing. The nose Smell: Sweet citrus and pine. Smells juicy and fresh. Similar to the aroma. The taste is Pretty balanced up front with some nice malt flavor but mostly the same kinds of hops evident in the aroma. The second wave of flavor is a strong citrus hop bitterness that eventually fades to a very balanced mild sweetness and grapefruit hoppiness. Love it. This is a great brew, and even though I'm partial because of proximity to my home I think I will be keeping the man fridge stocked with at least a few of these soldiers.

   Attention Attention Attention....I'm back you bunch of Jerks. Yeah I know I feel off the planet but I had to take some time to grow my new little drinking buddy.  (see below)

 

Yes Ms. IPA did most of the work but I have a wonderful healthy 9 month old running around the house and I finally have gotten back to many of my commitments. I hope to get back on track and start producing some good reviews for you lot of light beer drinking punks. I need suggestions and request so as always let me know also check my other project, I thank the guys at www.brewingsomefun.com for their patience (or they have just forgot me). In any circumstance

3. Atlanta St Patrick's Day Parade - With partners like Meehan's and Max Lagers this should be a nice event.

4. Firebird - Another green beer extravaganza! Intimate and low key.....

5. Meehan's Public House - Another authentic Irish feast, great breakfast to start the debauchery

6. James Joyce Irish Pub- Comon' Irish Pub you get it........

7. Harp Irish Pub- See above.....

But of course this it just a few of the happenings..........
